Attitude Of Gratitude
A sincere attitude of gratitude is absolutely necessary for prayer to succeed. It is as important as the prayer itself. There is a good reason why the Lord’s Prayer ends with the words, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.” These are not just words to remind a god of his position, but statements to focus our attention on the fact that goodness flows to us from an outside source. Gratitude creates the drawing power as through it you have opened yourself up to receive your desires. Lack of gratitude can be the only thing holding you back when all else is done right.
Include gratitude in your prayers and meditations. It is already part of the Affirmation Sheet. If stuck for something related to your request to be grateful for, give thanks for being as well off as you are today; things could always be much worse. Another way to show gratitude is to confidently say thank you for your prayer being fulfilled, as you fully and truly expect it to be.
