As background you can have the lights dimmed, have some pleasant incense burning,
and have some quiet, soothing background music playing.

First give yourself permission to be quiet and relaxed for the rest of this session. You have many problems and worries that require your serious attention, but allow yourself permission to put them aside for a while. You are not going to forget them, you will get back to them, but you are going to put them in the background for a while.
A normal, common meditation to quiet the mind is to focus ones attention on something. In this case it will be to gaze at the picture of the Ontic with the two yellow lights carousing through its arms. This action is enhanced by quietly repeating the word Ontic to yourself over and over again. A word used this way is known as a mantra. Do this for about six minutes.
When you are repeating the word Ontic to yourself it is quite normal to have other thoughts come into your mind. When you recognize that other thoughts have intruded, acknowledge them and put them aside to resume concentrating on the Ontic and repeating the word.
The flows of the yellow lights around the two arms of the Ontic may look awkward, distorted or funny in certain places. This is a problem with certain browsers (notably Internet Explorer) and not inherent in the picture. Since the aberrations are consistent time after time just accept them as part of the flow.
You can "Click here to make this line disappear" to bring the picture of the Ontic to the top of your viewing area.
Do you really know what you are wishing for and why? Do you really want what you are wishing for, is it really a long term solution or just a quick fix? Have you thought through all the consequences of your wish and is having it granted really a situation you can live with in the long term?
Take time to think through exactly what you are wishing for and why you want that wish. This contemplation may mean that you are taking a lot longer than six minutes for this stage. But so what, this is not a race. If after some thought you feel you should change your affirmation, then do so.
You may know exactly know what you want and may not need any extra contemplation. That's O/K. The important thing is to be sure you are right, then go ahead!
